Työpisteprojekti -verta, hikeä, mutta ei kyyneliä /Workspace project -blood. sweat, but no tears

Minulle on nyt selvinnyt, miksi mies aina kiroaa kootessaan Ikean tai muita huonekaluja. Jos nimittäin on kaksi tapaa tehdä asiat, se oikea tai sitten se väärä, niin aina tuurilla vedät hommat ekaksi väärin ja purkaminen tai irtiotto on kaksinverroin vaikeampaa kuin oikein tekeminen. Ja ruuveista aina joku kanittaa, vaikka reiät olisi kohdallaan, dewaltissa virrat ok ja työasentokin aihetta tukeva.

Now I have found out why the spouse always swears when assemblying furniture from Ikea or similar. If there are two ways to do things, the right one and the wrong one, you always manage to start with the wrong one. Then taking it into pieces takes double the effort than making it right at once.

Vietin kaksi puolipäiväistä autotallissa kooten ja järjestellen ostoksiani. Aloitin toteamalla vatupassilla, että paikka on sen verran tasainen, ettei tarvitse huomioida pöydän jalkojen suhteen mitään eri pituisuuksia. Lisäksi on tarkoitus laittaa pöytä kiinni seinään lisätukevuuden saamiseksi.

Mutta kylläpä olen ylpeä aikaansaannoksesta:

- kokosin pöydän ja siihen yläosan, viilaus- ja sahaustuet kiinnitetään ylempään
- öljysin pöytälevyt, jotta ne ei ihan heti vedä kaikkea sontaa siihen
- kokosin työtuolin
- kokosin vaivalla ja tuskalla tuon punaisen laatikoston työkalupakiksi. Olisin tarvinnut kolme kättä yhdessä vaiheessa ja kansi hulahti väärin paikoilleen. Pelkällä pahan akan sisulla sain sen vielä uudelleen irti kaikista väkäsistä ilman, että se meni rikki. Lopputulos oli kuitenkin sitten ok. Vaan kyllä taas hikosin ja puhkuin.

Loppu olikin ihan piece of cake, siivousta ja järjestelyä. Erityisen hellästi asettelin työkalut uuteen kotoonsa samalla inventoiden mitä vielä tarvin, jotta voin tehdä supershoppaukset lopuille käsityökaluille ja tarpeille, siis ennen materiaalihankintoja....

I spent 2 half-days in the garage assemblying and organising my shoppings. I started by measuring with the balance that the floor is even, and I did not have to take any sliding into account in the legs of the table. The idea is to bolt the table to the wall for extra sturdiness.

I am so proud of the results:

- I assembled the table and the small table on the top of it
- I oiled the table top, in order to not have them stain themeselves immediately at use
- I assembled the chair
- then with enormous sweat I assembled the red Ikea tool box. Of course at first in the wrong way, as I would have needed three hands. Only with my ever lasting bad temper I could take it into part and re-assemble in a right way.

Rest of the work was piece of cake - organising and cleaning up. I took especially care of laying my new tools to the box and listing them in my head, so that I know what needs to be purchased still for making the tool box complete.



Kuvassa kaikki on kasassa vierekkäin, mutta ideana on levittää ne siihen ympärille, kun tekee hommia. Rullakkolaatikko voi myös serveerata lisäalustana.

Autotallin hyviä puolia oli, että heti työpisteen vieressä on vesipiste. Toin siihen saippuat ja pyyhkeen valtaukseni merkiksi.

In the picture everything is scrambled together, but in practise when working at the table side I can slide them to different positions. The tool box serves as extra table if needed.

Good thing about the garage is that I have a water tap right next the workspace. To mark my invasion I brought a soap and a matching towel next to the tap.

Näkymä hiukan laajemmalti. On musat, valot, ikkuna.

Kyllä nyt kelpaa fiilistellä hetken ja odotella inspistä :-)
